CHANDIGARH, JULY 16:
The Punjab Government has constituted the organizing committee for upcoming 4th World Cup Kabaddi. The Government has also constituted the other committees for the smooth conduction of the World Kabaddi Cup.
Disclosing this here today an official Spokesman said that Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Miniter Punjab is chief patron while Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister is Chairman, Mr. Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Member Parliament and Mr. Sikander Singh Maluka are Senior Vice Chairman and Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue and Information & Public Relations Minister, Mr. Pawan Kumar Tinnu, Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Sports) and Mr. Pargat Singh, MLA are Vice Chairmen.
He said that Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Culture affairs, Principal Secretary, Information & Public Relations, Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce, Principal Secretary, Financial Commissioner Texation, Finance, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Principal Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister, MD, PIDB, Secretary, Sports, Mr. Manvesh Singh and Mr. Ajay Mahajan Special Principal Secretaries to Deputy Chief Minister, Concerned Deputy Commissioners and Mr. Puneet Chandhok, Co-ordinator. Director Sports is organizing secretary.
He said Chief Secretary has been deputed as the Chairman of the Executive Committee whereas Principal Secretary, Department of Culture Affairs is Chairman of Cultural Programme Committee (opening and closing ceremonies),Secretary ,Sports & Youth Services is Chairman of Ceremony & Entertainment Committee, Principal Secretary, Finance is Chairman of Finance & Marketing Committee, Principal Secretary, Public Relation & Information is Chairman of Media Committee, Director General of Police is Chairman of Security Arrangement Committee, Dr. Manmohan Singh is Chairman of Medical & Anti Doping Committee, Mr. Pargat Singh, Hon'ble MLA, Jalandhar Cantt is Chairman of Technical Committee, State Transport Commissioner is the Chairman of Transport Committee and concerned Deputy Commissioners have been made the Chairman of the Venue Committees.
