In a shocking incident in Dhupguri in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district, a 16-year old girl has claimed that she was raped by her father, uncle and brother for over a period of two yars, a report on NDTV said.
The girl who has filed a police complaint said she got pregnant for a couple of times and also tried to commit suicide on several occasions.
What is more shocking is the role of the mother who instead of saving the minor girl from the ordeal told her to cooperate since they are her father, brother and uncle.
The incident came to light on Thursday after the girl got enough nerve up to reveal everything to her school teachers who in turn took the her to police and an FIR was registered, the report said.
Police have arrested her father, uncle and brother while her mother is at large. The girl has been sent to Child Welfare Committee in Jalpaiguri.
"Everyone in the village, where her home is, knew about the situation but did nothing to help," the girl was quoted as saying by the local media.
