The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, today announced the appointment of Ms. Carol Alexandra Kerfoot of Vancouver, to the board of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority for a term ending on September 25, 2016.
Ms. Kerfoot has been a partner at Kornfeld LLP in Vancouver since 1993. Prior to that, she was an associate lawyer for Freeman & Company since 1976, where she became a partner in 1981.
She has served as a director for many organisations: the Vancouver Airport Authority (2006-2013); the Vancouver Museum Society (2001-2012, chair from 2008 to 2010); the Women’s Resource Centre Society (1985-1997, chair from 1994 to 1996); and the BC Assessment Authority (2003-2006). She also served as director and corporate secretary of Core-Mark International Inc. from 1987 to 1990, and as the Vancouver Police Foundation Police’s trustee from 2009 to 2012.
She holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Ms. Kerfoot is enrolled in the director education program of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, the Institute of Corporate Directors, and the Vancouver I am Powerful (IAP) Council of Care Canada.
