Akshay Kumar has managed to impress the audience once again with his latest outing, Baby. The film, which is an action thriller dealing with terrorism has garnered rave reviews and took off to a good start at the box office with its day one collections being Rs 9.30 crores and day two earning Rs 11.71 crores. The film was expected to touch 15 crores on the third day and clearly, delivering more than expectation, Baby collected Rs 15.60 crores on Sunday making a total of Rs 36.61 crores.

Though the figure is less than what most of Akshay’s other films have collected, given that the film dealt with a very sensitive subject and catered to a niche audience, Baby is a star performer.

Neeraj Pandey’s treatment of the sensitive subject has earned him a lot of praise. The film that released on January 23 also stars Danny Denzongpa, Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Anupam Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Sushant Singh and Rashed Naz in pivotal roles.
