Bollywood’s superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have one more reason to celebrate this year. Director-producer Rakesh Roshan’s Karan Arjun, which was released on January 13, 1995 completes 20 years today.

The film which starred the hit pair of Shah Rukh and Kajol, and also Mamata Kulkarni, Rakhee Gulzar and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles, went on to become a blockbuster success.

Based on the concept of reincarnation, Karan Arjun was the first film to have Shah Rukh-Salman share screen space. And its success leaves no room for mentioning how much the audience loved them.

The songs from the film composed by Rajesh Roshan, ruled the charts for over a decade and have been in the favourite list of many till date. While we are refreshing memories, how can we forget Rakhee’s famous dialogue  ’Mere Karan Arjun Aayenge’. Not only was it an immensely popular line back then, it still continues to be a hit, courtesy the numerous jokes built around it.

After their legendary patch up before Arpita Khan’s (now Sharma) wedding, we can expect the two Khans to come together for a celebration on the occasion and may be for a film too.

Wishful thinking may be, but it sure will be exciting to see the Khan jodi work wonders on the silver screen again.
