Lingaa is the first film from the south to enter the Rs 100 crore club within three days of its release
Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lingaa, which hit the theatres on December 12 has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club. Yes, the movie, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha has collected a little about Rs 100 crore at the box office within three days of its release.
In Tamil Nadu, the movie grossed Rs 55 crore, while in the rest of India it minted nearly Rs 26 crore and the overseas collection stands at Rs 20 crore. The KS Ravikumar directorial was released in over 1000 screens overseas. It was released in about 2200 screens in India.
Lingaa stars Rajinikanth in a dual role with Sonakshi and Anushka Shetty playing the female leads. The movie was released coinciding the Southern Superstar’s birthday on December 12.
