Designer Manish Malhotra’s niece Riddhi Malhotra’s sangeet ceremony took place last night which saw the who’s who of B-town at their glamorous best. While some disappointed us with their unflattering turnouts, there were others who received an A on the fashion report card. Alia Bhatt
Alia stole the show in a white and golden embellished lehanga choli by the man himself, Manish Malhotra. The beauty looked radiant and elegant, choosing to accessorize her look with only a pair of heavy golden studs. We liked how Alia didn’t go overboard with jewelley and kept it simple or else it could have spoiled her overall stunning desi wear. Full points to this Shandaar actress!
Sidharth Malhotra
If there’s something Sid looks downright dapper in, it is a Sherwani kurta. Wearing a silk green one, teamed with deep blue churidar and black juttis, the Brothers actor looked every bit a Nawab in the making! What we loved the most is the hunk’s neat stubble which complimented his look perfectly.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Bebo too chose to wear a gorgeous outfit by Manish Malhotra. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actress opted for a shimmering golden choli which she topped with a sequinned peach ghagra and matching chunni. We loved how the beauty wore her hair in a bun and teamed up her outfit with a pair of heavy danglers. Shine on like a crazy diamond, Bebo!
Parineeti Chopra
We didn’t expect Parineeti to carry off the heavy look, but much to our surprise she did! Pari followed suit and opted for a Manish Malhotra dark blue ghagra choli which she wore with a heavily embroidered chunni. We like how the Kill Dil actress teamed her desi attire with a chunky golden beaded neck piece and wore light makeup. Elegant and ethnic, Pari looked great!
Malaika Arora Khan
The actresses’s appearance may come across as a tad bit flashy but she carries off the same with ease and oomph. Malaika wore a dark maroon sequinned lehenga choli which she teamed with lip color of the same shade and heavy silver danglers. The slender lass looked bold and beautiful!
Others present at the ceremony were Farah Khan, Kajol, Karan Johar,Urmila Matondkar, Karisma Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Esha Gupta and Kriti Sanon.
Kajol turned up with a stick to support herself, following an injury where she sprained her leg recently. Our sources reveal that popular singer Mika Singh was present at the ceremony too, and he sang songs for those present for the event. He made Urmila, Riteish Deshmukh, and Karisma Kapoor dance on stage!
