Why Android Lollipop takes the cake

Unveiled in June this year at the Google I/O, Android Lollipop or L (5.0) has been finally rolled out for most major devices running Google's stock Android operating system.

Performance-wise, the most significant change that comes along with Android L is Android Runtime (ART), which replaces Dalvik as the application runtime environment - which basically converts codes into running applications.
