Jennifer Winget and Karan Singh Grover, who got married in 2012, have decided to go their separate ways.

The news about their marriage hitting the rocks have been doing the rounds for a while now and looks like they weren’t just rumours. WhileJennifer is currently busy shooting for her maiden film Phir Se along with director Kunal Kohli in London, Karan too has a film to look forward too and its Bipasha Basu starrer Alone.

According to a leading daily, Jennifer’s spokesperson has issued an statement which reads: “Jennifer is currently shooting for Kunal Kohli’s film in London and has requested not to be disturbed. Jennifer has also requested for implicit privacy at this stage in her life.”

Though the duo were staying apart, the Saraswatichandra actress was hoping things would get better with time and therefore she never admitted about her marriage being in trouble. Unfortunately, it seems things haven’t worked out.

While talking a leading daily, a mutual friend of the couple said, “Karan is infamous for his philandering ways. Jennifer was so fed up that she started living separately, but she wanted her marriage to work. However, Karan told her clearly that he doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage and wants to be a free bird. He is commitment-phobic. In fact, he told his close buddies who tried to intervene that he will not marry again. Even Karan’s parents, who love Jennifer, tried to convince him, but in vain.”
