On behalf of the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Health, Wai Young, Member of Parliament for Vancouver South, will attend a joint toy safety event at the Product Safety Laboratory with Elliot Kaye, Chairman of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Julian Juarez, Deputy Head of Mission from the Embassy of Mexico, representing the Consumer Protection Federal Agency (Profeco). The event will promote how Canada, the US, and Mexico work cooperatively to educate the public on consumer product safety issues.
Health Canada representatives will be available to answer questions from the media.
