The sequel of ‘Rock On’ is going to be delayed, reason being that Farhan Akhtar and Alia Bhatt both are busy shooting for their respective film’s commitments.
The film was supposed to go on floors by the end of this year, however now it is postponed to the next year in January.
Another facet leading to the delay is the credit issue going on between Abhishek Kapoor and Pubali Chaudhari, who were the co-writers of the prequel of ‘Rock On 2’. It was said that Abhishek, who had directed the prequel in the year 2008 had some rifts with the production house due to some creative differences. Later, Pubali went on to work the sequel and registered script with the Film Writers’ Association and claimed the rights saying that it was written by her.
This time it is not Abhishek who will be directing the film, but it will be Shujaat Saudagar of Boot Polish Films who will be directing the film.
