Priyanka Chopra’s first cousin, Barbie Handa is all set to make her debut silver screen appearance in Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming film ‘Zid’. 

Anubhav with a clear mindset changed the name Barbie to Manaara in order to walk with the current generation and also reasoned that Barbie was too childish as a name for a grown-up. He also added up saying that Manaara was her nickname and she herself liked the thought of enabling Manaara as her on screen name. On the other hand, Manaara is a Greek word for ‘something that shines’. 

Manaara is slowly generating news for various reasons; one being Priyanka Chopra’s first cousin, the other as Manaara is all set to make her debut on the silver screen and her first poster where she appears without any top for her upcoming film ‘Zid’. Manaara called up her sister Priyanka prior the poster shoot. Priyanka asked her to go ahead but with a condition that she had to ensure that the shoot is done artistically and that shouldn’t appear grimy. 

The film ‘Zid’ is slated to release on the 28th of November, 2014 and it has already created a lot of noise in terms of knowing the star cast and to interpret the plot of the film.
