The makers of Dibakar Banerjee’s upcoming detective saga have released the first teaser of the film, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi. The film starring Sushant Singh Rajput as the central character Byomkesh Bakshi shows glimpses of a warring Calcutta in 1943. Amidst all the chaos it is the lone detective who is responsible for solving a grave mystery which will make the streets of Calcutta safe again.
The teaser starts with the sound from a mill and news on the radio about blasts. What follows next are the Japanese army troops marching on the roads of Calcutta and some murders. The interesting part is that it does not reveal Sushant’s look in the movie, you only get to hear his voice when he says, Bakshi. Byomkesh Bakshi,in the signature James Bond style.
