Farah Khan’s Happy New Year is coming closer to its D day. The film has already created a massive stir, courtesy its star studded cast comprising of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, followed by its unique promotional strategy and chart busting music.The festival of Diwali would have witnessed twice the dhamaka had the makers remained adamant on the release date which was October 23. Reports suggest that the makers have now decided to release the film on October 24, keeping in mind the auspicious Laxmi puja which would be performed by people in the evening.
The team considered the fact that people would be busy celebrating Diwali and would perform the puja, which would eventually clash with the evening shows of the film, affecting the box office collections in turn. Hence the risk is being avoided andHappy New Year will see its release on a Friday instead of a Thursday.
