Legendary bollywood actor Shashi Kapoor has been hospitalised in Mumbai's Kokilaben Dirubhai Ambani Hospital after he complained of cough and breathlessness yesterday evening.
The 76-year-old actor has not been keeping well for quite some time. "Mr Kapoor, although in the ICU, is stable and is on antibiotics. He has been diagnosed with chest infection," Executive director of the hospital, Dr Ram Narain said.
Shashi Kapoor had also gone through a bybass surgery in the past. The actor, who has been a part of 160 movies was one of the first Indian actors to go international. The actor has won National Film Awards thrice. In 2010, Shashi was presented with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.
