‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ released with an occupancy of 20-22% and it pulled off well in Lucknow, Kanpur, Surat, Indore and other small towns.
It was showcased on around 1900-2000 screens which certainly was an advantage over ‘Khoobsurat’ on day one. The film collected a total of 4.80cr net on its first day which is quite average.
Whereas, on the other hand, ‘Khoobsurat’ also opened close enough with occupancy of 15% and it certainly did not do well in the smaller towns. The film collected a sum of 3.10cr net approximately, however the film did not do well in the evenings as well.
Now, the only hope for both the films to collect a higher number is in the weekends; and if they fail to do so then it will be a complete disappointment for both the star cast and the filmmakers with a huge loss.
