Nevada’s faith leaders from various traditions will join together to pray for the welfare of Nevada in Nevada Governor’s Mansion on September 17 as a part of Nevada Sesquicentennial Celebrations.

This multi-faith Service will include prayers by Christian (various denominations), Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Baha’i, Native American, etc., leaders. A “Nevada 150 Signature Event”, it is coordinated by religious statesman Rajan Zed.

On October 31, 1864, Nevada became the 36th state to enter the union of the United States of America. Nevada’s Sesquicentennial, the 150th anniversary of Nevada’s admission to the Union, includes yearlong celebrations “as we come together statewide to commemorate our shared history and build a foundation of cultural appreciation for generations to come”, nevada150.org announcement says.
