Is CBFC taking right decisions

September 06, 2014 09:18 PM

It looks like CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) is becoming stricter now a days. But, is CBFC taking right decisions?

Last month, Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mardaani’ had faced the wrath of CBFC. The film was given ‘A’ certification with a lot of cuts. Some scenes were quite important for the film, but still they asked the scenes to be edited. Aditya Chopra even had a verbal argument about it, but CBFC didn’t change their decision.

Few days back, even ‘Finding Fanny’ had faced an issue with CBFC. They had objected on the word “Virgin”, which is used in the film. Well, actress Deepika Padukone feels that the objection is totally unfair.

And now, it is time for ‘Haider’. Apparently, the CBFC has asked the makers of Shahid Kapoor starrer to cut 41 scenes.

Well, we think that the people working in CBFC needs to be broad minded.
