Following the success of its recently launched Mobilio MPV, Honda has now introduced two new trims to the existing line-up.
The new top-end trim will be available for the petrol and diesel variants and will be termed as V(O). Additionally, the diesel Mobilio will have two more 'sporty' trims - RS and RS(O).
With this addition, the family car will now be available in 10 variants, including the previous E,S and V trims. These new variants are likely to be available in showrooms somewhere around mid-September.
There are noticeable changes in the new variants. Apart from a reverse parking camera and screen, the cars will also have an Audio Video navigation (AVN) system, with a 15.7-cm (approximately 6") touchscreen panel.
This system will be pre-loaded with maps and voice commands. A user merely needs to select the start and end location, which can also be done through a smart keyboard.
Other features include DVD/CD playback, USB, Aux-in, Tuner and iPod connectivity. Bluetooth connectivity also allows the user to sync one's mobile with the car, allowing the user to accept and make calls, check the phone or address book and also stream music.
Apart from this, the new variants have additional styling, with faux wood inserts enveloping the dashboard and marking the front door armrests. The wooden finish makes the centre console look quite different, while the rest of the exteriors and mechanical parts of the cars remain the same.
