The Happy New Year actor opened about the controversy following his dancing stint with a lady officer recently
Shah Rukh Khan is the kind of Bollywood and it’s a given that often kings tend to invite trouble. Where SRK in under the spotlight 24×7, another controversy came knocking on the superstar’s door recently. The actor was seen shaking a leg with a woman constable at the Kolkata programme. Where the badshah took it to be light hearted stint, it proved to be otherwise and created a stir within various police departments.
The Happy New Year actor was criticized on disrespecting the uniform while dancing with the female officer, who received flack regarding the same. SRK was seen breaking his silence on the issue where he said the whole incident was silly.
“It’s strange… 4-5 years back, I was shooting for Veer Zaara. At that time, I had danced with jawans in uniform. In the 60s and 70s, many actors performed in the border for the jawans to encourage them. For the first time, it’s not about the uniform, it’s about a lady inspector in uniform. This distinction between men and women is rubbish and silly. It should not be even talked about,” he said while talking to a popular entertainment portal.
