Google, the most popular search engine in the world never fails to recognize and pay tribute to some of the best icons ever born. Today’s Google Doodle celebrates the 85th birth anniversary of none other than the late singing legend, Kishore Kumar.

Kishore Kumar was born on August 4, 1929 and it is a well known fact that not only was he a talented singer but was a multi-talented personality overall. Along with being a sensational singer, he was also an actor, lyricist, producer, music composer, director, screen play writer etc. He was introduced to the industry by his elder brother Ashok Kumar.

Kishore Kumar is most popularly known for his roles in Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi andPadosan. His first film was Shikari where he acted opposite his brother Ashok Kumar. Some of his evergreen songs include gems like Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke, Phoolon Ke Rang Se, Yeh Raatein Yeh Mausam etc.

Kumar was said to have been married 3-4 times with one of the names in his list being Mughal-e-Azam sensation Madhubala who also acted with him in the film Chali Ka Naam Gaadi.
