Musical Instrument Bank winners featured in free Chamberfest concert

Ottawa, July 22, 2014 — Join the Canada Council for the Arts and Chamberfest on Monday, July 28 at noon for a free concert with Musical Instrument Bank winners Jonathan Chan and Arnold Choi.

The Program

Along with the Rosebud Chamber Players, Chan and Choi will perform:

  • Serenade, Op. 12 by Zoltán Kodály,
  • Last Rose of Summer by Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst, and
  • Suite for Solo Cello by Gaspar Cassadó.


The Instruments

  • Jonathan Chan will perform on the 1715 Dominicus Montagnana violin, valued at $900,000.
  • Arnold Choi will perform on the ca.1696 Bonjour Stradivari cello, valued at $11 million.
