Veteran actress Zohra Sehgal passed away yesterday. She was famously known for her roles in films like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Veer-Zaara’, ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Saawariya’, etc.
She was not just a film actress, but had also been part of theatre and had choreographed some Bollywood films.
The 102 years old actress died yesterday due to cardiac arrest. She was admitted in the hospital in the morning and at 4pm in the evening she took her last breathe.
Amitabh Bachchan, who played her son in the film ‘Cheeni Kum’ tweeted, “Zohra Sehgal passes away at 102 yrs ..what a journey and what an immensely loveable co star ! Prayers for her blessed soul !!”
