Lévis, Quebec – Department of Canadian Heritage
The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness and Member of Parliament (Lévis–Bellechasse), today announced $9,900 in funding for the eighth Festival Jazz etcetera Lévis, which is taking place from August 7 to 10, 2014. He made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages. This funding, provided under the Local Festivals component of the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program, will offer audiences an accessible and diverse lineup that includes street performances, popular music concerts, and educational activities for children.

- Planned activities at the Festival Jazz etcetera include around 40 street performances and events showcasing a range of jazz styles (including American, traditional, gypsy, swing, blues, funky jazz, and more).
- The free outdoor event, in the municipality's historic and tourism district, will feature nearly 150 established and emerging artists.
