June 25, 2014 07:52 PM

There were reports that Rani Mukerji won’t be coming in front of media as she was not comfortable answering the questions about her marriage.

But, the actress has shut everyone’s mouth.

At the trailer launch of her upcoming flick ‘Mardaani’, Rani openly talked about her personal and professional life.

There was a strong buzz around that she will be taking up direction and will be handling Yash Raj Films, however Rani denied both the reports and said that she prefers being in kitchen then in office. She also added that she is an artist and wants to stay in front of camera and not behind the camera.

Talking about the movie ‘Mardaani’, the actress said it gives out an important message to all the women to be strong and protect themselves against various odds they face everyday. She also added that female cops like Shivani Shivaji Roy are real. They are strong, fearless and better than many male cops.

When asked her about the tagline ‘Every War Is Personal’, Rani said that it relates to the film’s theme.

Apparently, it was said that ‘Mardaani’ will be her last film and she will be taking a retirement from acting, but she said that she is willing to do more women centric films.

At the trailer launch, Rani looked ravishing in the white jacket, black top and blue denim.

‘Mardaani’ is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and it is slated to release on 22nd Aug. The trailer is out and it is getting positive feedback.
