A source claims that Aashiqui 2 starlet declined Chopra’s offer due to bikini clause
Aashiqui 2 star Shraddha Kapoor has been basking in the limelight for past few days, garnering positive pre release response for her next film Ek Villain. She has made quite a few headlines with her recent patch up with Aditya Chopra. But did you know how things turned sour between Ek Villain heroine and Rani Mukherjee’s hubby?
Before Aditya Chopra turning into Shraddha’s gym facilitator, he had signed the newbie Shraddha Kapoor for a three film contract. Apparently, after the debacle ofLove Ka The End, Aditya offered the Kapoor gal a role in his next film. But the diva politely turned down the offer as she had to sport a bikini and do intimate bed scenes in the movie.
A source said,”“It was at this point of time that Shraddha was offered Atul Sabharwal’s Aurangzebfrom the Yashraj banner. It was the role of Arjun Kapoor’s moll along the lines of the one played by Parveen Babi in Deewaar. The character was not only required to do many love-making scenes with Arjun, she also had to wear a bikini for a sequence”.
“Shraddha knew the character had nothing much to do. But since she was reminded of the loyalty that she was required to show to the banner, she’d have probably agreed to do the role, were it not for the excessive nudity, love-making and kissing required for the part. Since Shraddha has a very strong sense of self-censorship, she politely but firmly declined the offer” added the source.
This refusal from Teen Patti babe did not go down well with Mr Chopra. With Aashiqui 2 offer knocking at her doorstep, Shraddha took the hard step of breaking the contract with Aditya Chopra, which is looked as a taboo in industry.
“Shraddha doesn’t need to be anxious about work anymore. She’d love to work with Yashraj. But not if it means getting into a bikini,” says a friend of the actress” a close friend of Ek Villain star quoted.
With Aditya Chopra warming up to Shraddha Kapoor, it would be interesting to see if the ace producer signs her despite her firm stand on bikini clause.
