How did Maksim Chmerkovskiy bid farewell to the Jhalakstage?
Today’s episode of Jhalak witnessed an end to Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s journey on the show. While today’s presentation showcased many hits, certain misses followed the same. Here’s a look at the good and the bad side of it all…
The Good
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Madhuri Dixit-Nene’s Ghagra act
Ukrainian ballroom star Maksim Chmerkovskiy surely added zing to a saga of snooze fest that was showcased on today’s episode. The hunk was seen performing with Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit-Nene on her hit number Ghagra. While Mrs Nene pulled off her usual latkas and jhatkas with ease, Maksim sizzled on the stage with his fluid desi moves. What a way to say goodbye eh?
Mouni Roy and Punit Pathak’s Contorted Tandav
The duo’s unique Tandav act got them the ‘performance of the week’ tag. Mouni Roy was seen at her best so far in the competition, rightly stated so by Jhalak judge Karan Johar. The two showcased an intimate and aggressive routine, donning the roles of Lord Shiva.
The Bad
Ali Asgar and Upasana Singh’s unimpressive act
Dadi(Ali Asgar)and Pinky Bua (Upasana Singh) from Comedy Nights With Kapil were seen attempting to pull off a funny stint, but failed miserably instead. With silly and immature one liner’s like ” Sone Ki Gudiya, stage par so mat jaana” and “Gora chamda aaj pehli baar mila hai(to Maksim), the duo’s performance was easily passable and made the entire episode draggy.
Drashti Dhami’s mono act
Although Drashti Dhami is already the target of excessive criticism regarding her hosting skills, looks like it didn’t stop the Madhubala star from ranting on nonetheless. Drashti was seen hosting most of today’s episode while Ranvir came across as a silent side kick who was put on stage to accompany his co-host. Not cool!
