Supporting Canada Day Celebrations in Scugog

The Government of Canada is providing the Township of Scugog with $13,200 through the Celebrate Canada program to support its annual Canada Day celebrations. This was announced today by Erin O’Toole, Member of Parliament (Durham), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

Quick Facts

  • Activities for all ages will take place in Palmer Park in Port Perry, including a veterans parade, a kids zone, and theatre and music performances by local artists. The festivities will culminate in a fireworks display.
  • About 15,000 people are expected to attend.
