Kohinoor Hospital and BMC hold awareness workshop for private doctors

 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in association with Kohinoor Hospital held a malaria and dengue awareness workshop for doctors and general physicians of L Ward. More than 80 private practitioners gathered at Kohinoor Hospital, Kurla, to learn about preventive measures for keeping monsoon diseases at bay. The workshop was about preparing doctors to combat diseases occurring in this season. L’ward is one of the worst hit zones in terms of malaria and dengue cases.

 

The session involved briefing by Dr. Sanjay Phunde, Medical Health Officer, BMC, L Ward Kurla.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Phunde said, “We are glad to organize this workshop with Kohinoor Hospital. With the dreaded monsoon diseases on rise, it is important for BMC to brief the doctors about preventive care and treatment”.

 

Dr. Indrajeet Chakraborty, Head of Administration, Kohinoor Hospital, said“Our hospital follows unique ‘disease prevention and treatment’ model and we appreciate BMC for such initiative. This briefing will help private doctors to curb the rise by taking appropriate actions”
