Ankit Tiwari, who shot to fame with Mohit Suri’s musical blockbuster Aashiqui 2 last year, was arrested on the charges of allegedly raping his ex-girlfriend last month. In fact, his brother Ankur was also arrested for threatening the victim. But the duo was later granted bail. While Ankit and his brother have nothing to worry anymore, the talented singer’s career is now bearing the brunt coz of the whole rape case episode. We say so coz apparently the singer-composer’s name is missing from the invite of Ek Villain’s music event. Now that’s surprising coz his song Galliyan from Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Ek Villain has become hugely popular. Also, his romantic number’s success has only created more buzz around Mohit’s next directorial venture wethinks. Well, it’s sad that Ankit, who swept away many awards last year for his hit song in Aashiqui 2, won’t be present at the music event of his next film.

Not too long ago, actor Inder Kumar was also arrested for allegedly raping an aspiring heroine. In 2009, Gangster star Shiney Ahuja also landed in trouble when his maid accused him of raping her.
