Over the years, the prestigious Cannes Film Festival has established itself as not just the Mecca of movies but one of the most carefully scrutinized red carpets as well.

Talented filmmakers flock to the Cannes Film Festival in the south of France each year, hoping their masterpiece wins the covered Palme d’Or prize. But elsewhere at the festival, movies are bought and sold and distribution deals made in the most un-artistic-like fashion. Producer Satish Reddy was seen walking the Cannes Red Carpet for his French friend movie “The Salvation”. Director Kristian Levring's "The Salvation" film that stars Mads Mikkelsen, Eva Green, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The historical drama premiered out of competition in the Midnight slate and obtained rave reviews.

Satish Reddy said, “It is important that the filmmakers of today find the right people to connect with. Many important international names in the film business have been coming to the Cannes – providing Indian filmmakers and delegates at Cannes the rare opportunity to interact with them. Cannes Film Festival gives opportunity to Indian filmmakers to connect with “right” people.”

French movie “The Salvation” takes place in 1870s America, as a peaceful American settler kills his family’s murderer which unleashes the fury of a notorious gang leader. His cowardly fellow townspeople then betray him, forcing him to hunt down the outlaws alone. “As an Indian filmmaker, I am proud to have been part of this wonderful endeavour at Cannes a hub of networking, business and informative interactions to promote partnerships between the Indian film fraternity and the global one,” Satish Reddy added
