Performing Arts Alive and Well in the Kootenays

Key City Theatre is receiving support from the Government of Canada through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund to present its 2014–2015 and 2015–2016 performance seasons.

 

The Theatre will also present a new festival called the SoWeCa Chamber Music Festival. This year’s festival opens on May 23 and includes performances throughout communities in the East Kootenays.

Federal funding of $50,000 over two years ($25,000 in 2014–2015 and $25,000 in 2015–2016) was announced today by David Wilks, Member of Parliament (Kootenay–Columbia), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
