Not too many exciting movies in May

May 01, 2014 11:09 AM

In April, we had some exciting films, but in May there are hardly any exciting flicks releasing.

The first week of May (2nd May) will see the release of ‘Purani Jeans’ and ‘Kya Dilli Kya Lahore’. Both the films have hardly created any buzz with their trailers and songs. The promotions are also quite low. We don’t have any expectations from these two movies. Even no big names are associated with the films.

On 9th May, there are seven films hitting the screens together including ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, ‘Hawaa Hawaai’, ‘Yeh Hai Bakrapur’, ‘Koyelaanchal’, ‘Mastram’, ‘Khwaabb’ and ‘Manjunath’. Except from Rajnikanth’s ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ and Saqib Saleem starrer ‘Hawaa Hawaai’, no other films have created any pre-release buzz. We can expect something good from these two flicks.

16th May will witness the era of the 60’s with the film ‘The Xpose’. The movie has created a nice buzz because of some wrong reasons like copying from other movies and overacting of Himesh Reshammiya. We are not sure whether this film will be liked by the audiences or not.

Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger Shroff is all set to make his debut with the film ‘Heropanti’ which will be hitting the screens on 23rd May. The pre-release buzz of the film is quite good and the songs are also becoming popular among the audiences. On the same day, we might get to see Sherlyn Chopra onscreen in the film ‘Kamasutra 3D’. However, it is learnt that the release date of this film might change.

The last week of May (30th May) will see the release of two different genres of films, Balaji Telefilms comedy flick ‘Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi’ and Hansal Mehta’s dramatic movie ‘City Lights’. The trailer of ‘Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi’ is out, but there is no buzz about ‘City Lights’.

So, let’s wait and watch whether which film will rule at the box-office in the month of May.
