Three films had hit this weekend, ‘Revolver Rani’, ‘Kaanchi’ and ‘Samrat & Co.’ none of these films took a good start at the box-office and no growth was seen in the collection.
Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Revolver Rani’ was the best in all the three flicks, but the film has not collected a decent amount at the box-office. This massy film collected Rs. 1.80cr on Friday, on second day Saturday it collected Rs. 2.15cr and on Sunday the collection was Rs. 2.55cr. ‘RR’ has collected Rs. 6.50cr in its first weekend, which is strictly average.
Subhash Ghai’s ‘Kaanchi’ has proved to be disaster at the box-office. The movie took a bad start and has collected a disappointing amount. The film collected Rs. 75 lakhs on day one (Friday), on second day (Saturday) the collection was Rs. 85 lakhs and on third day Sunday, it collected Rs. 95 lakhs, taking the first weekend total to Rs. 2.55cr. It’s a flop.
The third release of the week ‘Samrat & Co.’ has collected Rs. 90 lakhs in three days, it is a disaster.
On the other hand, ‘2 States’ in its second weekend dominated at the box-office and has collected Rs. 15.10cr, taking the till date total to Rs. 75.87cr. If the film holds well on week days and manages to get good collection in the third weekend as well, then it will surely reach the 100cr club. It’s a super-hit.
