Bollywood celebs who missed voting to visit IIFA

April 26, 2014 10:21 AM

While a number of bollywood celebs stood up to be counted by casting a vote yesterday, there were a few more, who had more important things to do than standing up for the country and setting an example.

While an array of celebs including Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, John Abraham, etc. prefered to cast a vote before attending the International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) that is being held in Tampa Bay, USA on April 26, below are the celebs who couldn't think of missing the awards ceremony for the world.

Celebs who missed voting for the ceremony included Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Malaika Arora Khan, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Kareena Kapoor. While some of these celebrities are expected to perform at the IIFA this year, others will be attending it as audience or nominees.

Actor Anupam Kher, whose wife Kirron Kher is one of the candidates of the elections, revealed a few inside details saying, "While it is completely their decision what to do and which event to attend, you cannot deny that the money riding on these evens is pretty big."

Even though it is impossible to know the exact figures, the average money given to each performer at the show ranges from Rs 50 lakh for newcomers to Rs 4 crore for the A-listers.

Salman Khan too couldn't be a part of the voting campaign as he was busy promoting his upcoming flick 'Kick' in Poland.

Now, if people follow these bollywood icons when it comes to living and dressing appropriately, we wonder what impression they were trying to make by not being a part of an important day like this.
