April 18, 2014 10:36 PM

SAD-BJP joint candidate for Amritsar Lok Sabha seat and senior national BJP leader Mr. Arun Jaitley today received a big impetus when the Amritsar Textile Processing Association declared their whole hearted support to Jaitley.

They said that Jaitley can bring much needed support to the industry that has been facing so many challenges and they would make him win in the elections.

The special meeting of the association was called by its President Krishan Kumar Kuku and he in the presence of Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia said the industry would support Jaitley aggressively. Jaitley who spoke during the function said that the economy of the country was `ruined’ under Dr.Manmohan Singh government which had been keeping their eyes shut to the problems and challenges being faced by the local industry. He said as the congress led UPA government was a total failure at all fronts its performance was worst when it came out to focus on industrialization.

He said that is why there prevails a sense of negativity in the country and socially in the industry and once the NDA government comes into force under Narendra Modi, they have clear cut plans for the all sectors of industry and the Amritsar industry would be benefitted as they will bring new respite for the border area industry and trade. He said they would announce special package for the border area industry and industrial corridors would be set up for the special impetus to the industrialization.

Majithia said that the main focus of the NDA government will be to open trade with Pakistan through Attari Border which eh said would bring new era of development and progress for the city of Amritsar and the whole Punjab. Majithia said the NDA has a vision but the Congress knew nothing but to loot the public money and indulge in the corruption which is evident from the number of scams that had come to the forth during the UPA government. He also hit hard at Congress candidate Captain Amarinder Singh saying he had never been in touch with the people and thus can not understand their concerns.
