It was rumoured that Sharmila Tagore reached Bhopal on Sunday in order to settle the family property dispute but the veteran actor denied the news

After the death of Begum Sajida Sultan, the last Begum of Bhopal, cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan aka Tiger Pataudi, actor Sharmila Tagore’s late husband and Saif Ali Khan’s father was recognised as the head of the royal house. Since then, his sisters, Saleha and Sabiha, have been fighting for a share in their ancestral property. It was speculated that Sharmila Tagore  visited Bhopal recently to settle the dispute.

We hear that in December 2011, Sharmila Tagore had attempted to resolve the issue after the death of her husband, Nawab Pataudi. At that time, she had declared that she wanted to resolve the issue as she was not willing to pay hefty fees to the lawyers. “I have come here with a sense of purpose. There is little point in continuing these never-ending court cases and paying hefty fees to lawyers.”

So her recent visit to the city of Bhopal, we gathered, had made people speculate if the actor wanted to take the case to its logical conclusion. But, our sources, tell us that Tagore has denied this bit of news.
