A lot of things have been heard and said about Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’. 

SLB’s movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’ was written many years back and the director wanted to cast Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in it. But, because of their break-up in real life the film got shelved. Then after few years, reports of signing Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film sparked up, but then once again there was no development on it. Well, SLB few months back, announced that he will start his ambitious project ‘Bajirao Mastani’ soon. However, the cast of the film is not yet confirmed.

After the filmmaker announced his project, many casting reports have come out. It was said that movie will star Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor, then it was heard that it will have Deepika and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles along with Priyanka Chopra playing a prominent role in the film. In between, it was learnt that the movie will have Ajay Devgn as Peshwa Bajirao. Now, it is said that Ranveer has been confirmed to play Bajirao in the film and Katrina has been approached to play the role of Mastani. Phewww. Now thats a lot of information to grab in one go. Well, after so many reports about the actors of the film, still the filmmaker has not yet confirmed the cast of the film.

At the same level is Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’. Though the film was not planned many years back, still in past few months a lot have been reported about the cast of the film. Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were the first choice for ‘Shuddhi’. They had also given their nods to do the film. But, unfortunately Hrithik opted out of the flick and then later even Kareena walked out of it. Then it was learnt that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will be seen in the movie, but there was no development in the story. Few days back, it was heard that Ranveer Singh will be doing the film, but now it is known that even he has opted for SLB’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and left ‘Shuddhi’. Then we came to that Karan Johar has approached Aamir Khan for the film and we will get to see Aamir-Deepika jodi onscreen. In all the mystery about the cast, it was also heard that Hrithik wants to join the film again. But, till now the male and female lead is not finalized. 

The twists in the cast of these films are more than the twists in an Abbas-Mustan film.

‘Shuddhi’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ will be hitting the screens on 25th Dec 2015, but we are not sure that which actors will be seen in the film. 

Whether it is a promotional strategy or mere co-incidence, we request Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali to finalize the cast soon, as now we and the audience are tired of waiting for the stars to get finalize for your respective films.
