SYNOPSIS:

Rocks (Parvin Dabbas) is a director who is very much excited with the Ragini MMS incident and decides to make a movie out of it, for which he signs Sunny (Sunny Leone) in the lead role as Ragini, and some Television actors instead of big film actors. Rocks decide to shoot the film at the same location where Ragini incident has happened. Ragini from the prequel is in mental asylum and is possessed by the evil, she keeps saying that she will spare no one who comes to her house, Rock with his cast and crew leaves for the location to start the shooting. What’s next? What happens when cast and crew starts shoot at the possessed house? Who will succeed to come out of this haunted place? This is the rest of the story.

STORY, SCREENPLAY AND DIALOGUES:

Writers Suhani Kanwar and Tanveer Bookwala come up with sequel of successful film Ragini MMS and they continue the story where its prequel ended. The story is quite simple and also predictable as from the promo’s it can be seen that the cast and crew of the film unit is going to the haunted and same possessed house where Ragini incident has happened and incidents starts happening, but still the writers manage to get the story right and somewhat interesting by plotting the believable characters. First half of the movie is loosely scripted and could have been more exciting as the prequel had already a good impact and spooky feel and the writers could have cashed on it, audience laugh out at few instances instead of getting scared. The second half is better and picks up the pace of the narrative with few good effects and chilly moments. The clarification of the plot behind the killings and evil presence is worked well by the writers, but the climax which is good could have been more impactful. Dialogues are passable.

PERFORMANCES:

Performance wise Sunny Leone shows improvement from her previous film ‘Jism 2’ and adds up to the glamour part which is required for these kind of horror flicks, but due to her glamorous and sexy image she fails to scare audience as required, she has done the climax scene well and tried her best to give good performance. Parveen Dabbas as Rocks is very loud and irritates with his unnecessary laughter all the time and has given ok performance, Sandhya Mridul is good in her struggling actor role and has provided good support, Karan Mehra is also good and gives some relief point with his humorous and comic punches in many sequences. Divya Dutta is fine and has limited scope with her character. Saahil Prem is good in his part and justifies in the character given to him

DIRECTION, CINEMATOGRAPHY AND EDITING:

Director Bhushan Patel tries hard to live up to the expectation with his film ‘Ragini

MMS 2’ but succeeds partly to impress us. There was good scope as the narrative already has a horror impact as per its prequel, the first half of the movie is slow and doesn’t holds the audience attention much, as the spooky and chilly scenes are normal and seen in many horror flicks before. Second half is bit pacy and catches your attention in few sequences. Cinematography by Naren Gedia is fine and few horror sequences with effects are shot nicely. Editing by Tushar Shivan is okay.

ACTION, BACKGROUND SCORE AND MUSIC:

Action by Abbas Ali Moghul is ordinary and also there was no much scope for the action in the movie. Musically it’s a hit album with songs like Meet Brothers ‘Baby Doll’ and Yo Yo Honey Singh’s ‘Chaar Botal Vodka’ has already topped the music charts and has garnered views on you tube as well, the music has helped a lot to promote the film and grab the audience attention to get them in to the theaters. Background score by Amar Mohile is normal and could have been better to give necessary feel to the horror sequences.

CHOREOGRAPHY, LOCATIONS AND PRODUCTION VALUE:

Choreography by Raju Khan, Gaiti, Uma and Atul Jindal is good and especially in the song ‘Baby Doll’ which is already been a craze recently.

OUR VERDICT:

Overall, the film has taken a decent opening and is a semi entertainer. The film would be an average as the word of mouth is having mixed reviews, Sunny Leone fans would have a treat to watch her in the raunchy sequences in the film. If you don’t have any other choice then you can watch it.
