Should Katrina Kaif-Ranbir Kapoor, Rani Mukerji-Aditya Chopra, Bipasha Basu-Harman Baweja finally tie the knot?

These couple have been been dating for ages; time to take the relationship to the altar

They party together, they holiday together, some even live together. They know they are eventually going to tie the knot. The families have given their blessings too. So what’s stopping them from taking the next step? Some are still using the ‘career’ excuse. Really now. It’s 2014. The first quarter is almost over. And there is no talk about any wedding. John Abraham’s shaadi doesn’t count. We haven’t seen any pics. Not even a wedding ring, or the bride since she became Mrs Abraham. We want a big Bollywood wedding, and consider it our duty and right to encourage some long-time couples into taking the plunge.

Soha Ali Khan-Kunal Khemu: We are a little cuckoo about royal weddings. The dudes in bandgalas, the girls in shararas and the traditional niqaah. Yes, we are filmy that way. Also, there hasn’t been a celebration in the family since two years when Saif and Kareena got hitched. Like Bebo and the Chote Nawab, this duo have been living together for sometime now, and have declared they are each other’s happily ever after. So why wait? Also professionally things are looking up for Kunal post Go Goa Gone. Our advice to Kunal is: Go, Goa, give up bachelorhood.

Dia Mirza-Sahil Sangha: The couple is not only partners in love but also at work. The wedding date was set then abruptly cancelled due to some health issue in the family, and that was unfortunate. But that was last year. And when it comes to marriage, any time is good time. So the bride and groom need to: I Do! Now.

Rani Mukerji-Aditya Chopra: Okay, so family friend Shatrughan Sinha publicly called Rani, Mrs Chopra, and then refused to retract his statement. But Rani is already living the role. Whether it was taking care of the family when Yash Chopra passed away or playing hostess at the Chopra home during Diwali last year. We think Rani will make a lovely bahu off-screen and we can’t wait to see her shine in a dulhan-ka-joda. Okay, Adi, it’s time for some band baaja baaraat!

Aftab Shivdasani-Nin Dusanj: They attend award functions together, go to parties and movies together hand-in-hand. We know his intentions are honourable and it is not just ‘grand masti’. All his buddies are married and the masti (on-screen) can continue anyway. Really, what is their excuse for not taking saat pheras?

Sushant Singh Rajput-Ankita Lokhande: Sushant and his girlfriend Ankita have been in a serious relationship for four years now. While Sushant has managed to make some space for himself in B-Town, Ankita is the darling of the small-screen. Yes, they are probably already married. But it’s time to have a public wedding for the sake of their fans.

Bipasha Basu and Harman Baweja: If nothing else, then because she deserves to be happy after her break-up from John Abraham after nine years. The Bengali Bombshell and the Punjab Ka Puttar are going strong for quite some time now and they will make a handsome Mr and Mrs. The only thing stopping them is the the release of Harman’s next film Dishkiyaoon!

Dino Morea-Nandita Mahtani: For the last three years, Dino has been dropping hints about getting married to Nandi. They make a dashing pair, but must they still skulk around like teenagers? Ducking the media and refusing to talk about each other? Everyone knows they are dating. And have known for years. Frankly one is getting tired of their hide-and-seek. It’s time they address their commitment phobia and head to a church close to them.

Katrina Kaif-Ranbir Kapoor: Needless to say this is the most talked-about pair of B-Town. They have had their differences and have come back together. a few times. It’s clear they share something special. And if anything can match up to big Bachchan wedding of Aishwarya and Abhishek, it will be a big Kapoor wedding. We can already picture the big clan getting together for festivities for two weeks and the sangeet, mehendi and naach gaana. But it looks like this one won’t happen until next year, if at all.

Abhay Deol-Preeti Desai: Though they think that marriage is an outdated institution, it’s be nice to see them embrace matrimony. This couple believes they don’t need a piece of paper from the society to prove their love for each other, and more power to them. Maybe they can get married on-screen. Would that be asking for too much.?
