Activist Sampat Pal had appealed in Delhi High Court to stop the release of Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla starrer ‘Gulaab Gang’, as the film is reportedly based on her life.
And now Delhi High Court has ordered that the movie won’t release anywhere in censored or uncensored form till May 8th.
Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva stayed the release of the movie, stating that it will cause severe damages to the reputation of Sampat Pal and “the loss of reputation cannot be compensated by monetary terms”.
‘Gulaab Gang’ was slated to release on coming Friday, 7th March.
Well, we hope that it's really a legal matter that has stopped the release of ‘Gulaab Gang’ and not a way to stay away from competing with Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Queen’.
