‘Bombay Velvet’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar and Raveena Tandon is being extensively shot in Sri Lanka. But, we were wondering that the film is set in the 60's of Bombay, then why the shooting is taking place in Sri Lanka?
Well, it is learnt that the director Anurag Kashyap has recreated the Bombay of that era in Tissamaharama city in Sri Lanka. There is a jazz club called ‘Bombay Velvet’ where both the actresses will be shooting for their portions. Even New Roshan Talkies, one of the oldest cinemas in Mumbai has also been recreated out there. Actor Ranbir has been spotted with a French beard look and it is for this film.
It seems like ‘Bombay Velvet’ will surely take us back in the 60’s.
