A lot has been said about KJo’s ambitious project starring Bebo and Duggu in the lead. But looks like this project won’t go on the floors at least with the original star cast.

Just a few days back, Kareena Kapoor Khan confessed in an interview that she is unsure about acting in Shuddhi alongside Hrithik Roshan as the film has been repeatedly postponed. Karan Johar hasn’t been working on his magnum opus coz of Jr Roshan’s ill health. The onscreen superhero has undergone several surgeries post his head injury coz of which Shuddhi couldn’t go on the floors. And now the makers are in a fix as Hrithik has opted out from the film. “Karan Malhotra (director) and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post- Shuddhi. For now, I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further,” said the talented actor in his statement.

The honey-eyed actor earlier starred in Karan Malhotra’s Agneepath and since then the two have shared a great rapport. Though HR is not a part of Shuddhi anymore, the actor feels the movie would be nothing less than a milestone. “Had the finest experience as an actor can have working with Karan Malhotra (in Agneepath), and I’m sure both my dear Karans are going to go beyond with this one! Shuddhi remains a part of me in spirit and am sure it will be a landmark in our cinema” read his statement.

With Kareena and Hrithik backing off from the project, will Johar and Malhotra still make Shuddhi? Yes, the duo won’t ditch the film as its very dear to them. While talking to a tabloid, a source said, “There is no question of shelving it. The project is very close to both the Karan’s heart.”

In that case, we wonder who will step into Bebo and Hrithik’s shoes. Any guesses Bollywoodlifers?
