Disappointed with the early exit from the recently-concluded Champions Trophy, West Indies cricket captain Dwayne Bravo said his team would look to make amends for the debacle in the ODI tri-series against India and Sri Lanka starting on Friday.
"We are disappointed at how we exited the Champions Trophy, but I think those who look at the competition closely say that we really gave it our best shot," said Bravo on his arrival here for the series which opens with the hosts taking on Sri Lanka.
"We are now looking forward to this series, which should be a very tough series, to see if we can make amends and, hopefully, make our fans proud once again," he added.
West Indies could not even make the Champions Trophy semifinals, which concluded in England on Sunday with an unbeaten India winning the trophy.
During the upcoming tri-series, to be played in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, the three teams will play each other twice and the top two will advance to the final.
Bravo said he is happy with the 13-member squad that has been picked for the series.
