Has Salman Khan lost faith in Bollywood filmmakers?

February 07, 2014 01:28 PM

Salman Khan made his grand comeback in Bollywood with Prabhu Dheva’s Wantedwhich was a remake of Telugu film Pokiri. Since then Khan’s connection with South films has only got stronger.

We all know that, hai na? And now we hear Salman is keen on working with writers from down South but the script of course has to be fresh and new. Apparently, the superstar met South film writer KV Vijayendra Prasad about two weeks ago and he even liked the story narrated to him. While talking to a tabloid, a source said, “Prasad narrated a fresh script to him and Salman has given a nod to him for the same.”

At the same time, rumours are also rife that SK wants to act in yet another South remake. If all goes well then the bhai of Bollywood will play the lead in the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster film Veeram. Well, that’s what the reports claim. It is believed that Pritish Nandy has already acquired the rights of Ajith Kumar’s Veeram and wants to cast Jacqueline Fernandez alongside Sallu.

If the grapevine is indeed true then we wonder what the whole no-more-south-remake buzz for theJai Ho actor was all about. It seems South remakes and scriptwriters can bring the best out of Kickactor. Isn’t that the reason why Salman is so fixated with South film industry off late?
