Saif Ali Khan was all set to star in Ramesh Taurani’ s next, which was being directed by Mohit Suri. The film was about to go on floors in mid-2014, but now it is learnt that due to Saif’s high price Taurani is looking for his replacement.
If the sources are to be believed, Saif wants Rs. 16cr as his fee but Taurani was ready to pay just Rs. 10cr plus a percentage profit subject to realization.
The source said, "They could not arrive at an agreement over the price and now Taurani has decided to go ahead with the film but without Saif."
Saif openly talked about the matter and said, "Yes, it's true, the price Taurani was offering me was too low."
However, the actor further said that Taurani had not asked him to opt out and he could still be doing the film. But, then once again he denied his statement and said that the dates he'd have alloted to Taurani was for a film made under his banner, Illumanati Films, and had contacted Mohit for it. "But that will be a different film," he quickly added. "And Rameshji is looking for someone else for his film."
Well, with these kinds of confusing statement from the actor, we can just wait and watch whether Taurani will opt for another actor or will agree to Saif’s demand.
