In a remarkable interfaith gesture, His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of Greek Orthodox Christian Metropolis of San Francisco and distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed met in Nevada (USA) and had dialogue.
Both Gerasimos and Zed discussed various issues concerning religion, interfaith dialogue, environment, spirituality, freedom of religion, poverty, youth participation in religion, world conflicts, etc. Gerasimos invited Zed to visit San Francisco Greek Orthodox Metropolis.
Gerasimos oversees over 150,000 Greek Orthodox faithful in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington through 67 parishes and missions and three monastic communities; under the leadership of Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople His All Holiness Bartholomew based in Istanbul (Turkey).
Rajan Zed is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, a worldwide Hindu organization.
