A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 57.78 points or 0.28 percent up in the pre-noon trade Wednesday.
Good buying was observed in healthcare and auto sectors while selling pressure was seen capital goods sector.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,767.42 points, was trading at 20,751.02 points in the pre-noon session, up 57.78 points or 0.28 percent from previous day's close at 20,693.24 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 20,783.57 points and a low of 20,688.18 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE healthcare index gained 121.33 points and auto index increased by 102.45 points. However, capital goods index dropped by 46.63 points.
