The much awaited movie of the year ‘Dhoom 3’ has created Dhoom at the box-office in its first weekend itself. The film started on an excellent note on day one, by breaking opening day records and collecting Rs. 36.22cr (Inclusive of all languages). 

While if we see the biggest grosser of the year ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Krrish 3’, their opening day collection was Rs. 33.12cr and Rs. 25.50cr respectively.

On Saturday ‘Dhoom 3’ saw a slight fall in collection, but still it was on a good side. The film on its second day collected Rs. 33.36cr (Inclusive of all languages). The same thing had happened with ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Krrish 3’, on second day both the film had a fall in their collections. While ‘Chennai Express’ had collected Rs. 28.50cr on second day, the collection of ‘Krrish 3’ was Rs. 23cr.

There were expectations that ‘Dhoom 3’ will see a good growth on Sunday, but that didn’t happened. On Sunday, as per the early estimate the film has collected Rs. 33.25cr (Inclusive of all languages). But when we look at the collection of ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Krrish 3’, both the movies had taken a jump on their respective Sundays. On third day ‘Chennai Express’ collected Rs. 32.50cr and ‘Krrish 3’ collected Rs. 24.30cr. 

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Chennai Express’ had collected Rs. 100.42cr (inclusive of paid previews) in its first weekend and Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Krrish 3’ had collected Rs. 72.80cr.

But, Aamir Khan starrer ‘Dhoom 3’ has left behind both of them and has collected Rs. 102.83cr, in its first weekend.

This proves that when it comes to breaking records its Aamir Khan, who is always a front-runner.
