Cairo, Dec 13 (IANS)

About 20 soldiers were wounded in a car bomb attack in Egypt's Ismailia governorate Thursday, a security source said.

The car bomb exploded near a camp of the central security soldiers in Ismailia, injuring nearly 20 of them, Xinhua quoted the source as saying, adding that the injured were rushed to hospital.

Attacks against security forces and soldiers in the restive Sinai Peninsula and the Suez Canal cities have dramatically increased since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi by military July 3, leaving dozens of soldiers and policemen killed.
